Buck and Dave are fully aware of High Roller! High Roller works as HR (CR? PR?) and is quite friendly with most of the other managers and employees in COGS.Inc

One day, Buck and Dave did something so absurd, that it got the both of them fired (Evils and I don't know what this incident could have been, but our guess is that Buck ended up becoming too powerful to an eldrich degree somehow, probably through contracts with Dave, and ended up using some kind of crazy power through his slot abilities?) Well, Brian decided why not use the scrap of Dave (Brian is fully aware that there is something going on with Dave,,) and Buck and see what happens, so he did.

Once his experiment was done, it finished itself; grew its own skin, more intricate wiring, and finishing touches, and its title appeared on its blueprint page: High Roller.

Brian has been fascinated with this strange occurrence ever since. Now he knew something had to be up with Dave; and besides, of course he built a new Buck, but he never built a new Dave,, and yet the next day Dave was walking around the office again, despite Brian having used his scrap to create High Roller

Dave and High Roller are very good friends! There's something going on between the two of them, omg xD Dave and High Roller keep jokingly flirt with each other and talk to each other in ways they wouldn't with others, and they also do things for each other that they wouldn't with others; but they treat it like a joke, so who knows what's going on between them other than it ain't gay to kiss your homie goodnight; such close friends that you can wake up hugging in the same bed; such close friends that you can joke about clacking keys and having long drinks over at each other's houses, etc

Dave likes to go to High Roller and pull little pranks on him, like keeping his chair cold; he and High Roller like to gift each other money (they're like two artists passing around the same 100 bucks); High Roller likes to gift everyone little rubber low ballers, but he especially likes to give silly little ones to Chip and Dave; Dave goes to High Roller's office every so often so he can clang in his corner; High Roller and Dave like to help each other out all the time, and other people they enjoy, and jokingly bicker with each other when it comes to money (they both get into quarrels about who will give who more money or who gets to chip in most when helping other's, etc; they're silly); Dave doesn't normally go to anyone for his thoughts or feelings, but he has been going to High Roller a bit more often for it,,

Buck is a new Buck, and doesn't remember the close bond he had with Dave; but Dave is still Dave and he remembers everything, mi compadre; High Roller is her own separate entity, they don't count themself as Buck or Dave or a mix of them, and Dave and Buck don't count High Roller as such either

Hi, my name is Ajax! I'm 18, a college student, and use he/they/neos ( wind/windself, hydro/hydroself & mew/meowself are the immediate go to, but feel free to ask! )

This entire account was started for the purpose of storing my NaNoWriMo projects + I want to use it as a means of interacting with readers and other authors alike! I've very excited to see how this turns out!

This ties into a big part of what this account is going to hinge off of: reader interaction! I'm going to have polls set up for certain aspects of fics, I.E, major story choices, design ideas, AUs, all of that fun! I feel like it'd be a really amazing interaction for us all!

Some basic guidelines for interacting —

PLEASE no bigotry, be respectful and kind! I will not tolerate any sort of behavior of the like, and will immediately block if I see it happening. This also means to please keep fighting off the account.

RESPECT my boundaries. I don't have a lot but a big one I ask is that everyone keeps it casual but proper. Please don't attempt anything weird with me or fellow people here. I will let you know if you've crossed a line that you might've been unaware of but if it happens a second time, after I explicitly state things, I will block. I am not looking for that kind of energy.

NO nsfw please. While this account definitely will deal with some dark subject matter ( such as death, violence, so on and so forth ) I do not want any nsfw being present in interactions or asks.

ADDING on to that, PLEASE note this account WILL touch on and discuss dark subject matters that may not be for the faint of heart! I really really want people to take in consideration their mental health and comfort levels above everything else so if such topics are not for you, DO NOT INTERACT. For both our sakes.

This is a very general “please, anything in the style of canon, just maybe with less thoughtless sexism” request. I want to lose myself in these cities again, and in the strange lands that connect them. I’d be happy to follow any of the known characters and/or OCs, or eschew characters altogether and write about the cities themselves. What caught your imagination in Brüsel, Xhystos, Taxandria, Alaxis...? The history of some cool building that was only marginally featured in one of the stories? Or an OC city! If you’ve got a favourite European city that doesn’t already have its obscure counterpart, please tell me all about it! Go big, go wild! What strange and classically surrealist happenings take place within its walls? Or even... outside Europe... Nerding out about architecture is of course very welcome. I would also love to read a story based on any Schuiten illustration, contextualizing it as if it were part of this ‘verse. Here’s a bunch of them, for example!

Ghost Trick: Cabanela

You know.. him. Dazzlingly OTT, untiring, rock-solid self-esteem, loyal to a fault, following a rhythm of his own, flawless intuition until it fails and it all burns down… him. I just want to see more of him doing stuff! The way he’s chill and open toward new people (like Sissel and Missile in ch15) makes him perfect to throw at most other characters and see how they react to the sparkles… I’d love some focus on how ridiculous his aesthetic is, half Saturday Night Fever half hardboiled detective half bubbly preteen (for a total of 150%) and yet he makes it work. Or how ruthless he can be, possibly for the sake of the people he cares for. The quote “The intimacy of big parties”. Him and Alma in the new timeline bonding over knowing (once Jowd has spilled the beans) but not remembering that terrible timeline. Some tropey scenario on the job. Snark-offs with Pigeon Man, by which I mean PM snarks and it bounces off him like water off a spotless white goose’s back.

Ship-wise it’s only Cabanela/Jowd whenever it’s not infidelity, Cabanela/Alma in what-ifs also if it’s not infidelity and Cabanela/Alma/Jowd for me (and Lynne/Memry and Yomiel/fianSissel on the side). There are a bunch of shippy prompts in all my past letters - I would however reiterate here that Jowd. is. the worst tease. always. Like, just saying, but assume he’s pining big time and Jowd and Alma figure it out - they’d make a national sport out of excruciatingly protracted teasing.

Conversely, Cabanela/Lynne and Cabanela/Yomiel are NOTPs especially from Cabanela’s side. So while I appreciate the thick tension of a good Yomiel VS Cabanela confrontation like everyone and their cat, and also really appreciate a roughed-up Cabanela, and I do love Yomiel in his own right… I don’t want Cabanela being into it. Adrenaline junkie he may be but this hurts and his coat’s a mess and there’s no perfect winning scenario so he hates every second of it. (JOWD being super into Cabanela being roughed up is another matter altogether and he should probably mind his own business. ...incompatible kinks, truly tragic. they’ll have to find some other common ground. they’re smart, resourceful, playful fellows, I’m sure they’ll manage)

Kentucky Route Zero: Donald kentuckyroutezero

I love everyone in the cast, all acts and interludes, and I am extremely into all the themes this incredible work of art ended up exploring. Agreeing with the overall doom and gloom up to Act IV, I was blown away by Act V’s strong affirmation of the importance of the arts and of the bonds we make and of carving up spaces for ourselves in capitalism’s wake. Donald was, indeed, not a part of any of that. Even the final interlude updates us on Lula and mentions Joseph, but the big guy is nowhere to be seen. So, you know, there’s fanfiction! He’s so static, defeated. I am fascinated by the chain of metaphysical spaces that goes surface -> Zero -> Echo -> Dogwood and even within that framework, the hall of the mountain king is like a hopeless dead end. Dude’s terminally stuck. So - once again, in the spirit of transformative works, how could he get... you know... unstuck? Did Lula’s momentous appearance in Act III shake him? Having a functioning Xanadu again, perhaps? How could he interrogate that oracle, what recursive wonders would it show him? If he decides to leave, what does it feel to be on the surface again after so long, or on the river perhaps? Maybe he is forced to leave by the flood, if not this one, the next... Having him meet any other character would be amazing. Past or future time spent with Weaver... seeing Conway again, changed... programmer guy chatting up musician androids... did he know Carrington from his college days or was Carrington only a friend of Lula’s?

As for Lula herself and Joseph too: “Flipping through the pages, Conway is able to gather that it’s a story about three characters: Joseph, Donald, and Lula. It’s something like a tragic love triangle, but much more complex. Some kind of tangled, painfully concave love polygon.” 😔 I ship them as a full triad, if you can nudge them in that direction, good. But I’m very open to non-romantic resolutions as well, going past their messy feelings to find each other as friends after so many years maybe. Or... a start. idk.

I’d be interested in fic that leans on the game’s adjacent genres: wanna go full-on American Gothic? Dip into surrealism? Take a leaf from Twin Peaks with tulpa / split narratives to explore the characters’ issues? I’m also open to AUs, real or through Xanadu. This also feels like a good place to stress that I really, really like caves.

And now for something completely different: FAQ:  The “Snake Fight” Portion of Your Thesis Defense is in the tagset this year. I’d say that the crossover with the snake portion of Here and there along the Echo writes itself, but it would not be correct, as in fact I would like you to write it for me. Feel free to not feature Donald if you focus on this crossover instead!

Uru would be a fun crossover too, for Donald specifically. He’s very DRC-shaped in how he tilts at doomed projects which just so happen to be deep underground.

Pyre: Volfred Sandalwood

This is a Volfred solo, Volfred&literally anyone or Volfred/Tariq, /Oralech or /Tariq/Oralech request. I adore everyone in that Blackwagon+Dalbert+Celeste, so if you want to add a Nightwing or two to any prompt, please do! I also love all the Scribes and find Erisa a compelling tragic figure, while out of the other triumvirates, I’m “love to hate them” for Manley, Brighton, Udmildhe and Deluge and would not like to see them featured in sympathetic roles. fwiw I also enjoy Jodi/Celeste and Bertrude/Pamitha a lot!

I feel deeply for all of Pyre’s main themes - literacy, degrees of freedom, the fragile time that is the end of a historical cycle, nobodies rising up to the occasion, building a better society, and of course found family, “distance cannot separate our spirits” and all that jazz, and Volfred is squarely rooted at the center of all of them. I really really love everything he stands for, even if he’s overbearingly smug in standing for it. Just please tell me things about my fave. His relationship to the Scribes (as a historian, a some kind of vision, via *ae or once he’s a star himself)? A ‘forced vacay’ Downside ending where he looks at the Union from afar and keeps living in this strange transformational place? Life in a cramped Blackwagon that was meant for like 5 people tops and is currently eight Nightwings, a herald and an orb? Since he picked him for the job to begin with, does he respect and cherish Hedwyn as he dang well should? What does it feel like to try and Read a herald? Was he ever in danger, in the Commonwealth or in the Downside? What daring act of resistance did he and Bertrude pull off at some point in their past? It’d be cool if one of his old pamphlets came up at some point. Does he puff up as prime minister because he’s nervous, and who can see past his hyper-professionalism and lend a hand? Please roast him big time about the votes he assigns to the various Nightwings in his planner? What’s his attitude toward the flame’s purification (what with being a tree but mostly like, as a general concept. He did nothing wrong!) (well he definitely said some things wrong and sometimes oftentimes the ego jumps out, but his intentions did nothing wrong)? When did his calculating approach fail him? Something with Pamitha along the lines of that edit that goes “Can we talk, one ten to another?“/"I am an eleven, my girl, but continue”? Dude could easily be voted sexiest voice in the Downside - how much is he aware of it? Does he sing? I love how he bears his ‘reader’ brand proudly. And speaking of scars, I have to wonder, looking at Manley for comparison, if the shape of his head, with that massive crack, isn’t also due to injuries.

As a refrain from my general likes: emphatically yes xeno to both shippy interactions at all ratings and to gen explorations of what a Sap is like… I’d love to read all your headcanons.

Ship-wise, I enjoy him with Tariq as this kind of esoteric connection of minds, guarded words full of secret meanings, long contemplative walks together (is any external pov watching...?), Volfred’s Reader powers brushing against Tariq’s mind and getting weak in the knees at the starlit expanse he finds there, so unlike mortal thoughts. Tariq finds his individuality learning from him; Volfred presumably gets a transcendent glimpse of the Scribes. And I enjoy him with Oralech as pretty much the opposite of that, Oralech is so very mortal compared to him, such a precious, fleeting, burning life especially after his fall. Oralech’s idealism is very dear to me, it was their plan, their shared revolutionary spirit, I find it deeply moving. And I am very interested in seeing them rebuild their connection now that Oralech is back, changed, and in some ways he can learn to let go of his misconceptions and slowly open himself to Volfred’s love again, but in other ways that’s who he is now, with this deep-set anger, and what does it even feel to realize that you’re the symbol of the end of an era (the end of the Rites, the fading of the Scribes). I’m interested in both topside and downside endings for all of them, as long as they end up on the same side, the revolution was peaceful and they don’t angst too much about the side they ended in. Tariq can ‘find his way home’ in the near post-canon somehow or even be summoned again, as a different aspect of the same ‘moonlit vision’ that once inspired Soliam Murr.

I would just like words to go with these, please and thank you so very much. Worldbuild to your heart’s content! Specifically: I’m fascinated by the premise that the strandbeest are living creatures that evolve and adapt to their ecosystem. A world where life is just wind stomachs and sandy joints, and the tide that can catch you unaware. I would like a story that feels distinctly inorganic. The wonder that is the existence of these creatures. Their unique struggles. Weird and experimental if you like. With a mechanical focus, maybe?

I nominated four critters as a selection of the different cool things they can do - Percipiere Excelsus is huge and has the hammer mechanism, Suspendisse’s tail senses the hardness of the sand, Uminami is my fave caterpillar and the caterpillars overall feel like a new paradigm after a mass extinction event, Ader straight-up flies... but they’re all wonderful. If you want to focus on different strandbeest, please do!

Twin Peaks: Lucy Moran

Case fic but they don’t find out jack shit, someone disappears, David Bowie was there, it’s complicated. Fragmented, shifted, mirrored identities. New Lodge spaces. The risks of staring into the void for too long. Gentle illusions. Transcendence. The moon. Static buzzing. Any title from the s3 ethereal whooshing compilation used as a prompt, actually. Whatever goes on on Blue Pine mountain or the even more mysterious things that go on on White Tail mountain where exactly zero canon locations are found. Twin Peaks is all about the mystery to me, the awe of mystery and unknowability and the human drive to look beyond and the risks of getting a peek, and about shared consciousness and trauma taking physical form in an uncaring world. Go wild with the ethereal whooshing! But I also love the human warmth at the heart of it all, and sometimes it’s enough to anchor these characters and let them have a nice day. A fic entirely focused on some instance of coziness against the cold chaotic background of canon would be great too.

For Lucy specifically, a big draw for me is how canon (...s2 need not apply) empathizes with her way of processing the world. Not just Peaks, but On the Air’s protag who is basically a Lucy expy also gets the narrative completely on her side and that’s great. And I love how in s3, her focus on the small things around her is always echoed by bigger, climactic events beyond her horizon (bunnies / Jack Rabbit’s palace, chair order / Garland’s chair, her first scene talking about the two sheriffs / doubles everywhere...). It feels to me like some kind of off-kilter mindfulness and I love it. She’s also got a loving husband and an amazing son, which, in this economy and also this canon? Damn. The one functional family, imagine that. I am not interested in focus on family dynamics, but singularly, either Lucy/Andy or Lucy&Wally are great - in particular, I’m interested in how strange they are and yet they make it work. With the ruthless critique of traditional family structure that’s all over canon, maybe they make it work specifically because they’re not doing any of that. A bit like the Addams family... but... not goth...? Anyway. I’d love to see Lucy interact with and maybe strike a friendship with any character she’s never shared a scene with in canon! In the tagset, there’s Diane for some secretaries bonding, Audrey because??? why not?, Albert because it’d be an epic enemies to friends slowburn, some version of Laura in the future, if we’re feeling really daring maybe even some version of Coop in the future, still fragmented... or anyone you want! Outside the tagset I’d be curious about Hawk, Margaret and maybe Doris in particular, I think, and Phil, and Nadine and the Invitation to Love fandom in general (Frost says it still airs - did it get as weird as TP s3 did?), but if you have an idea with someone else, absolutely go for it!

I’d say it’s a 50-50 mix, although that’s probably not an accurate ratio.

I treat canon like a foundation - meaning it’s where I will get started with my writing and my lore creation, but I will not strictly adhere to it (for one reason or another, depending on the canon itself and my thoughts on it). I really like using canon because it gives me a “safe” place to start from, but it does not rule over my creation process either. I will disregard canon or adjust it accordingly to suit my needs, wants, desires, and story-world view reflections.

Neutral and toeing the line; Unfortunately, business and life in the modern world means appealing to both sides of the great war. Navigating that fine line is tricky, and could wind up costing her one of these days.

Unintentional Mom Friend; She doesn’t mean to dote on or cluck at everyone, but she worries about her friends and always tries to take care of them - even if they’re fussing about it.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?

I wanted to take another shot at the RP community with my OC after a couple of canon blogs I had been running passed their peak and were falling into obscurity amongst the community and my partners. Her first rendition had been terrible too, so I wanted to give myself more positive memories and a sense of pride in the character rather than shame and embarrassment.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?  

Although it doesn’t seem like it because I’m not roleplaying I’m Tumblr, I’m still technically roleplaying on Discord because I want to. I want to push Blackguard, knock her down, and make her face challenges she hasn’t face before and likely can’t win because so far everything has generally worked out for her. I want her to fail, I want her to be taken back down to rock bottom and struggle to crawl her way out of it. I don’t want her to stay down there, but I don’t want her getting out of it easily. I want her to be tested, and to persevere.

I genuinely have never received a criticism about my muse. I have been criticized for how I handle memes (TL;DR I have a tendency to delete/ignore memes if I only get one prompt for them), but never my character. I welcome criticisms though, if anybody has any and are looking to give genuine feedback on my writing and my muse, and not just passive-aggressively bully me to make themselves feel better.

I would probably cry if I got questions like that. Happily, of course.

IF SOMEONE DISAGREES TO A HEAD CANON OF YOURS, DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?  

Absolutely! I may not budge or change anything, depending on the head canon, but I still want to hear other people’s thoughts on the ideas I propose. I would love to hear another person’s perspective on a matter so that I could look at it from a different angle and either combine our views, completely change my own, or bear in mind that how I see things isn’t the way other people see it.

IF SOMEONE DISAGREES WITH YOUR PORTRAYAL, HOW WOULD YOU TAKE IT?

It would depend on what they’re disagreeing about, because there’s definitely elements of my character that I could see people not liking. However, if someone dislikes my character as a whole then there’s little that can be done. This is my creation. You’re free to move on if it’s not your cup of tea.

IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?

Admittedly I’m going to be upset because I genuinely don’t understand what there is to hate, but if you don’t like my character then there’s nothing we can do. I'm not going to radically change her just to make someone happy.

As long as you’re not mean or condescending about it.

I don’t know.

I don’t think I’m hard to approach, but I also do know that I’m genuinely not that out-going or very receptive at times. I’m shy, cautious, and maybe a little bit guarded towards new people. I always try to be friendly, but I don’t like acting overly familiar towards people I don’t genuinely know either. I use the term friend loosely to help people feel more at ease and comfortable with me, but I rarely feel that way towards my partners.

In other words - I’m not some horribly aggressive cunt, but I’m not going to act like we’re old friends nor am I good at making friendships happen overnight. Friendship is earned with me. I’m perfectly capable of writing and plotting with people who aren’t my friends, and I don’t want to experience anymore people who confuse this ability as genuine friendship and then hold me to unfair expectations of emotional support in every crisis they have.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).   —  he’s the protagonist, he’s too nice, too likable, and he might be, from some perspectives, super overpowered. a lot of his flaws are issues that come with a lot of protagonist characters, like selflessness to a fault, recklessness, a desire to help no matter the cost, etc., and it might come across as overdone or unoriginal for someone like him.

What inspired you to rp your muse?  —  twipri has been my favorite video game of all time since i first played it the xmas after it came out, when i was 7. it was an unbelievably huge influence on my life, and got me through a whole lot of shit i’d have to go through up until i was a teenager. it was a constant for me, a comfort. and link, being the protagonist, was of course the center of it. i connected to him really hard, and becoming him whenever i played the game was like magic to me as a kid. honestly, i dont know why i didnt write him until this year, because he’s been such an easy headspace for me to slip into for years. ig i just figured it was about time? id already written both tp zel and midna at separate points, so it was only right to complete the trio ksjfgh

What keeps your inspiration going?  —  the game itself, its soundtrack, art, linked universe and its little fandom, and you guys! just seeing all of your posts and your passion for loz and its characters helps fuel the love i have for it too!

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  —  hkljfg does anyone hate link??? like. he’s link. he’s neutral at worst. but it’s not my business if someone hates him, so to each their own ig

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  mm i don’t mind it, but i don’t really see the point. rp is a form of writing that doesn’t need much editing, and when it does, we are our own editors, so of course we’re going to make mistakes and overlook them. english is a complicated and hard language, and typos/misspellings/grammar errors happen and it’s not a big deal

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  yes!! i’m a very laid-back person in general i think, and of course i have things i won’t tolerate and i’ll speak up when i need to, but at the end of the day rp is a hobby, and it’s something we do to have fun, and i know that having fun is the most important part of doing this. though, sometimes i think my anxiety & fear of confrontation might make me a little too lenient on things like my own rules tho kjfhg

To go with that previous ask about the kids being swapped with their patrons, what would you think of Kanaya Lalonde, Terezi Strider, Karkat Harley and uh,, Tavros Egbert?

Two near-identical asks that came in about the same time as each other! :3

Kanaya Lalonde, our darling Kanaya raised by a drunk but loving mother who sort of lets Kanaya do whatever, with lavish wealth. Gonna wind up somehow, impossibly, even more of a mom friend, because she is very very used to taking care of her own mother. She’s the one that gets all the “surprisingly mature for your age” comments and the “oh I thought you were 18!”s from adults she works with. Everyone thinks she’s older than she is, so mature and responsible and all grown up, what a delightful young lady she is. She’s gonna wind up absolutely fucking terrible at talking about her own problems, which we see happening in canon too, always one to ask what other people need but unsure how to bring up what she needs. Probably gonna end up a little more dramatic than we’re used to seeing her though. She’s got opulence to work with here, and her mom likes to make games of expressing affection through gifts and wealth, Kanaya is 100% the kind of girl to stand on a balcony in a low-back dress with emeralds and pearls and a lace shawl with a champagne glass of cranberry juice on a full moon like she is totally going to be that bitch. Still likes trashy vampire fiction and can afford Hot Topic’s more expensive merchandise. Isn’t quite sure how to emotionally connect with the people around her, but knows caretaking so that’s probably close enough, right? As Sylph of Light, her quest starts with her using her Luck to heal others around her, as she has been led all her life to believe is her duty and role. But as she grows and flourishes, in many ways thanks to the help of a meddling alien ;3, her role is more focused on her own enlightenment, on focusing her energy towards patching up the holes of her own psyche and devoting her time and energy into self love and personal healing, learning that she deserves better, and learning how to operate with others so she can heal.

Karkat Harley, a high-energy boy raised by a magic dog and some weird chess people. He’s the kind of kid who likes to brag to his friends about his robotic expertise, when in actuality he knows jack shit about robots. He’s a nuclear scientists who knows how to radiate steak for his dog. Sorta like in canon how he bragged about his coding skills to Sollux, when in actuality he had approximately 0 coding skills? Yeah it’s like that. He can actually, like, go outside and run around and do things without fearing people seeing his blood color and killing him immediately, so in all likelihood he’s not gonna be half as crabby as we’re used to. Locking himself up in that hive all night every night, I firmly believe, played a large role in why he was so grouchy, and then that behavior just sort of stuck, but now he’s out and about and doing things and playing with his magic dog so he’s got an OUTLET for all that energy. Still the type of dude who shouts in all caps on the internet, don’t get me wrong, but at least in this verse he’s not constantly simmering on the edge of a boil. He proooooooobably isn’t too fond of the Prospitians, they likely annoy him, and he IS easily annoyed as a person like in general, and the clouds probably piss him off because they’re cryptic and he is Not The Brightest. I love him but Karkat is kinda stupid. As Knight of Space, his role is similar to Dave Harley’s role, where they are the defenders of the whole. Karkat likely would still be the leader, tbeh, but in this verse he’s more of a “everyone’s got a job to do and mine is breeding all these goddamned frogs” kind of dude. He absolutely gets attached to them. He makes the mistake of naming the first frog and then it’s just a rapid downhill from there.

Terezi Strider, a girl who is invariably drawn to bad relationships just so she can say that she’s in one, raised by a dude like Bro Strider. Very likely gonna end up with a similar complex to Dave, where she thinks Bro is genuinely a really cool dude who’s looking out for her with all these “ninja attacks” and weird “training” and who has her best interest in heart. She loves him and looks up to him and won’t hear from people who say maybe it’s weird that he’s like… hitting her with swords and pushing her down stairs all the time. What likely ended up happening was there was an accident in one of their strifes that wound up with Bro blinding her. Terezi probably engages with his Saw games and sees the smuppets as fun and cool plush toys that she plays courtroom with, but the death penalty is the go-to penalty and she probably stabs them with kitchen knives or shitty swords or whatever. If she told a human therapist that’d probably get labeled as something between an “obscure and morbid interest” and “coping mechanism.” She’s the coolest and raddest girl in town, and puts a lot of stock in that image, so it’s even harder for her to meet Latula, who is even better than her at projecting that persona, because Terezi’s self esteem is uh. Not high. As Seer of Time, she’s got access to a lot of fucking timelines, all playing like the worlds most inescapable horror film inside her brain, but she’s used to living a life that is basically just her being trapped inside a shitty horror movie so H4H4! 1T’S F1N3! Is she gonna go down that path? Well the moment she stepped foot on the sidewalk she got a vivid, almost tangible mental image of her body smeared across the wall by a trap, so noooo she’s not. Should Karkat go breed frogs? Yes, but when he goes to climb up onto the rim of the forge she gets a flash of his body falling into lava, and her own outstretched arm unable to catch him before he falls, so maybe he should go to a more structurally sound piece of the volcano’s rim to do his froggy thing. Her life is a neverending nightmare of stress and needing to be faster, sharper, more competent, things that go wrong are in HER power to fix, which means they’re HER fault if she can’t stop them. Takes the blame of the world on her own shoulders and doesn’t once stop to think that she maybe deserves better. She cannot see that on her own, Seer powers or no, in canon or in this verse, so it’s up to people who genuinely, actually care about her to step in and show her that she’s worth so much more than what she’s gotten so far, that the weight of the Game is not hers and never has been, that she’s allowed to be the compassionate, empathetic person that she is without the universe punishing her for it.

 And a Tavros Egbert! (Y’all are swell Con Air, but rather Peter Pan and Dadbert would read the book out loud to him, a chapter a night, as his before-bed story. Dadbert still has all Tavros’s little Halloween photos of him dressed up as Captain Hook and Peter Pan and Michael Darling. Probably actually really enjoys the piano; it’s engaging, and you can sit to do it, which means post-paralysis it’s a hobby he can keep up with really well. Get’s weirdly upset whenever people get their fairy lore wrong and owns a copy of Grimm’s Fairytales. Probably has a grudge against commercialized fairies the way John has a grudge against betty crocker cooking shit. As Page of Breath, his role doesn’t change too terrible much from his troll self’s. He is still the one with the potential of Freedom and the Wind, and after god tiering you bet your ass he never puts his feet back on the ground. He’s wanted to fly since he was a KID this is a DREAM COME TRUE for him. I think TavRezi would actually be a really good pairing for this au? The two would get along well, I think, and Tavros could really help her with some of that giant heap of dogshit that she was dealt over the course of her life. He sees the potential within her, and seeks to free her from the metaphorical blindness that prevents her from seeing her own worth. Would also wind up being pretty good friends with Kanaya, I think.

1.  things that inspire you

Fandom inspires me, first and foremost.  If I like something, I GOTTA write or draw for it!  Other people’s work and contributions inspire me too; heck, I got the idea for the sequel to Flipping the Script from someone’s Swapfell artwork!

2.  things that motivate you

I’ll deny it if asked, but acknowledgement is very motivating.  If someone likes my fanfiction, maybe they’ll really like my original work someday!

3.  name three favorite writers 

Oh golly....on AO3, I follow somebadbones, undertalefruitsalad, and crawleycrawlers for their FANTASTIC work, but the biggest Undertale fic impacts have been “Flowey Is Not a Good Life Coach” by unrestedjade and “To Love Yourself” by undertailsoulsex.

4.  name three authors that were influential to your work and tell why 

Growing up, I loved the work of J.K. Rowling, Edgar Allen Poe, and Dav Pilkey.  Vastly different, but all of them had something that I loved; adventure and depth from Rowling, darkness and mystery from Poe, and FUN from Pilkey.  I try to add those elements into my own writing.

5.  since how long do you write? 

I...THINK this means how long have I been writing?  I can distinctly remember writing stories as far back as third grade, and my first fanfiction was for Dragonball Z.

6.  how did writing change you? 

XD  I honestly think writing made me something of an introverted sort that tends to observe more than I participate.  But I’ve come to see that as a GOOD thing!  Writing has also made a huge impact on my actual social circle, and I’ve made some very good friends, irl and online, through fanfiction.  And you know what?  I met my fiance on fanfiction.net, and we started out being mutual fans of our Danny Phantom fanfiction.  So yes...it changed a lot in my life.

7.  early influences on your writing 

Fanfiction has been a huge influence on me.  It’s overstated, but there ARE fanfictions that I’ve read that have moved me and influenced me more than published novels.  Having positive feedback on my own fan contribution pushed me to write more, DO more, and be BETTER.

8.  what time are you most productive? 

It honestly depends on the day.  On my working days, I try to do some writing after work at 5, or before work at noon.  On my off days, it’s usually after I’ve had coffee and breakfast and varies sporadically during the day.  Though, I HAVE polished off many a chapter between the times of 10pm and midnight.

9.  do you set yourself deadlines? 

I’ve tried...but I always end up breaking them, lolz.  Usually, unless it’s a holiday thing, I just end up updating whenever.

10.  how do you do your researches? 

Oh man, this is honestly my favorite part (and most exhausting).  As I’ve told @xladymalice, I delve into the canon and fanon lore of anything I have an interest in, I make headcanons that work, and rinse and repeat with the AUs, if there are any.  I look at other fanartists and fanfiction writer’s works and gain insight and inspiration from there too.  And since writing about the Skelebros, I have dusted off my old A&P book from college and studied bones.  And it was FUN!
